Key Information for Year 2
Homework
Homework will be set each Friday and is due to be completed by the following Wednesday. It will include Read Write Inc. speed sounds videos, 2 RWI reading books, a bedtime story book and a spelling activity based on common exception words. Paper copies will be sent home and a reminder of what the homeowrk is will be displayed on Google Classroom.
Reading Books
Children must ensure they bring their reading books into school every day and parents must make sure that their child’s reading records are kept up-to-date and signed.
PE
PE will be every Wednesday and Friday in the autumn Term therefore please ensure children come into school wearing their kit for those days.

In music this week year 2 have been looking at the temp and the dynamics of music and how we can use them in a piece of music to show characters actions. We have been preparing to make a piece of music for Jack and the beanstalk. #OLGHy2 #OLGHMusic

In geography year 2 we’re using the four points on a compass to travel round a map of the Kenyan safari. We were then able to give our partners instructions using north, south,east and west. #OLGHY2 #OLGHGEOGRAPHY
